In short
You can play Pit Stop without an account. In that case your progress stays on your phone only, and we receive nothing about you except what advertising needs (see below).
If you sign in with Google to use the leaderboard and friends, we keep the minimum needed to make them work. We don't ask for or keep your email, real name, photo or location.
What data we process and why
Only if you sign in with Google:
- Google account identifier (an anonymous code Google gives us; it is not your email). It lets us recognise you and keep your profile. Your Google sign-in token passes through our server to be verified, but we don't store it.
- Game profile: the nickname and avatar you choose, total stars, level reached, best score, friend code.
- Friendships: the friend codes you add and who added you.
- Daily race: the date and score of each race you enter, with your nickname and avatar.
- Server technical data: Google Cloud logs (date and time, IP address, request made), which Google keeps for about 30 days for security and troubleshooting. We don't use them to profile you.
Your game progress, language and settings are always stored on your phone (they are not sent to us unless you sign in).
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads (optional rewarded videos and, for adults, full-screen ads). They are served by Google AdMob, which may use the device advertising ID and technical data.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we first ask for your consent using Google's form (UMP). If you decline, we show no ads.
Under 16 the app shows no personalised ads: it uses child-directed treatment, rewarded videos only and content suitable for all ages, and turns off the social features.
Legal basis
- Providing the service you asked for (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)): profile, leaderboard, friends, daily race.
- Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)): security of the service and preventing abuse.
- Consent (art. 6(1)(a)): personalised ads. You can withdraw it at any time in the app's or your phone's privacy settings.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use Google as a provider (Google Cloud with the database in Europe, Belgium region; Sign in with Google; AdMob). Google may transfer data outside the EEA with the safeguards required by law (standard contractual clauses / Data Privacy Framework).
Other players only see your nickname, avatar, stars, level and race scores. Don't choose a nickname that identifies you.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. When you do, your profile, friendships and daily race scores are deleted from the database immediately. Google Cloud technical logs expire by themselves after about 30 days. We keep no database backups.
How to delete your data
In the app: Account → Delete account and data. Or write to info@proxima-suite.com stating your friend code: we delete everything within 30 days (usually much sooner).
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and withdraw consent. Write to info@proxima-suite.com.
You may also complain to a data protection authority: in the Netherlands the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or the authority in your country.
Minimum age
Online features (sign-in, leaderboard, friends, daily race) are for people aged 16 or over. Under 16 the app works on the phone only, without an account. If we find data of a child under 16 we delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date below and, if needed, ask you to accept it again in the app.
